We are very thankful that God fulfilled Psalm 37 in our lives this week. “Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in him and he shall bring it to pass, he shall bring forth your righteousness as the light and your judgment as the noon day sun. Winning the case and having  the restraining order against me nullified was not a given. But in response to your prayers and mine, the Lord gave me a judge who was careful, thorough and patient. I played my part in careful preparation and documenting all. But the Lord is the one who won the battle.

We are definitely thankful, and praise and thank him for his protection and provision. But, in the large scheme of things, those thanks are worth about 25 cents. Why? Because there is zero faith in them. We already have what we desired. We have gratitude rather than faith and gratitude is important–but  not as important as faith. In my analogy, giving thanks BEFORE we get an answer is worth $100,000, for it is 100% faith, and faith is what pleases God and exalts him  the most.

This always brings me back to Psalm 50:23, “He who offers the sacrifice of thanksgiving honors me and opens the way that I may show him the salvation of the Lord.” Pure Faith bringing Faithful answers from God—not always what we want, but what he knows is best and has a plan. Therefore we can thank and praise him without knowing the outcome.

Thank you for your prayers.  Steve and Barbara
