Blessing in Disguise

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28

As I’ve mentioned before, God  often takes one problem and uses it to accomplish something new.

This week when i plugged my iPhone into the charger, nothing happened. This could be a disaster as I use it all the time, and the next day I had to make a trip where I needed the gps on my phone! It was time for a sacrifice of thanksgiving.  I tried two other charging cords and thankfully as i wiggled the third one, it connected! I was thankful.

Two days later i was in Walmart and saw a kiosk for repairing iPhones, so I stopped in. The guy looked at it and said, “First we will try another charging cord,” –and it worked just fine! “All you have to do is get a new cord,” he concluded

While he was getting the new cord, I asked him where he was from, as he had an accent. “I’m from Azerbaijan,” he said. I knew that Azeri was a form of Turkish, so began speaking Turkish with him. He was surprised and very pleased, so pleased that he gave me a $2.00 discount on the cord!  Then we had a nice further chat in Turkish. I will follow up on that contact!

If I hadn’t had the problem with my phone, I’d never have talked with this man. Now I have a new friend and will share the gospel with him in the future. Problems often  open the door to good things, if we are willing to cooperate with the Lord!!
