Psalm 121:1,2

Psalm 121:1,2

“I lift up my eyes to the hills—where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.” Psalm 121:1,2

This morning, Lord God, I want to lift up your Name and exalt you for who you are. You, O Lord, are the great Creator,

spreading out the heavens by your power,
speaking the stars into existence,
suspending the planets on nothing,
setting each in a perfect orbit around the sun,
selecting the correct axis for our planet,
spinning the earth at just the right rotation,
shaping the mountains, rivers and seas
and situating your creatures in the proper places.

You made everything well, for you are the God
of wisdom,
of insight,
of power
and goodness,

and these can all be seen in your beautiful creation, even though it is now twisted and warped by sin.

You are the mighty One who keeps this universe moving, literally, as stars, galaxies and larger groups all race outward at incredible speeds toward the edges of space.

You are the Sustainer of all creation, keeping it going until the proper ending time comes.

You are the Redeemer of all existence, moving everything towards a conclusion of full cleansing.

You are the great Transformer, preparing all for the end of every twisted way.

You will exclude every evil from eternity in Heaven.

You will exalt everyone who believes.

You will install an unending age of holiness, purity, celebration and joy.

Therefore, we bow before in wonder and worship. We rise up to walk in faith, we move forward to obey in joy and labor to exalt you in truth. Amen
