Praise be to you, Lord, for a good night’s sleep, for your watching over us, for being there when we woke up, ready to meet with us and prepare us for today.

Praise be to you that you have gone through this day already, arranging events, giving wisdom, providing protection.

Praise be to you that you call us to join you in the outworking of your great plans today, giving us significant roles, the primary one being to respond to every bump in the road with the sacrifice of thanksgiving, declaring our trust in your goodness, wisdom, power and love.

May we be hope carriers as we trust in you (Rom. 15:13), light shiners as we are filled with the Spirit (Phil. 2:15), grace givers to those who irritate us (Col. 3:13)and glory givers to you in every disappointment, frustration and problem (Psl. 50:23).

Use us in whatever way you choose, help us to be alert to the leading, conviction and guiding of your Spirit. “May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my mighty Rock and Refuge.” Psalm 19:14
